Cummins & White at CFCA Summit 2026: Featured Speakers and Industry Connections

Cummins & White was pleased to join industry leaders from across California’s fuel and convenience retail sector at the 2026 CFCA Summit at the historic Hotel del Coronado.

The annual Summit brings together fuel marketers, convenience retailers, suppliers, and industry professionals for education, networking, and conversations around the issues shaping the industry. This year, Cummins & White was proud to participate both as attendees and speakers.

Before You Buy or Sell: What Can Derail a Deal?

Partner Ashley Bolduc and Senior Associate Wendy Hsu led the training session, “Before You Buy or Sell: Hidden Issues That Can Derail a Deal and How Experienced Counsel Fixes Them.”

Drawing on their experience advising clients on complex business and real estate transactions, Ashley and Wendy discussed issues that can surface during the purchase or sale of a business or property—and how identifying them early can help keep a transaction moving toward closing.

The session explored practical considerations that buyers and sellers should have on their radar before and during a transaction, including due diligence, deal structure, real estate and title matters, contracts, regulatory considerations, and other issues that can create unexpected complications.

For business owners contemplating a transaction, preparation matters. Experienced counsel can help identify potential obstacles early, evaluate risk and develop practical solutions before an issue has the opportunity to derail a deal.

Beyond the educational sessions, CFCA Summit provided an opportunity to reconnect with clients, colleagues and friends throughout the industry.

Cummins & White was also pleased to be part of the host committee for the Fuel Resource Group Happy Hour, held during the Summit at the Sun Deck at Hotel del Coronado. The evening brought together professionals from across the fuel and convenience retail community for conversation, networking, and a chance to connect outside the conference sessions.
