Experience

Wendy Hsu is a Senior Associate at Cummins & White, LLP.  Her practice focuses on real estate transactions, business transactions, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate governance. She advises business owners, investors, developers, and families on the legal and strategic issues that arise throughout the lifecycle of a business or real estate investment.

Drawing on her experience as both outside and in-house counsel, Wendy helps clients navigate complex commercial real estate matters involving acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, financing, development, and asset management. She regularly advises clients whose real estate holdings form a significant part of their personal or business wealth, helping them evaluate ownership structures, succession planning considerations, business transitions, and long-term strategic objectives.

In addition to her real estate practice, Wendy represents businesses in a broad range of corporate and transactional matters, including entity formation, mergers and acquisitions, governance, contract negotiation, financing transactions, and general business operations. Her practical business perspective enables her to provide advice that balances legal considerations with operational and financial realities.

Prior to joining Cummins & White, Wendy served as in-house counsel to corporate clients across a variety of industries, including logistics, technology, and consumer products. She also practiced in the mergers and acquisitions group of a law firm focused on complex real estate transactions involving senior living communities.

Fluent in Mandarin Chinese and conversant in Spanish, Italian, and French, Wendy works with domestic and international clients and is particularly interested in helping business owners, investors, and families navigate cross-border opportunities and transactions. She regularly collaborates with clients from diverse cultural and business backgrounds and brings a global perspective to her practice.

Wendy is also an active speaker on real estate and transactional matters and has presented on business and legal issues affecting investors, business owners, and deal professionals. In 2026, she will serve as a featured speaker at the California Fuels & Convenience Alliance Summit, discussing emerging trends impacting mergers and acquisitions and transactional activity in the convenience retail industry. As part of the next generation of leadership at Cummins & White, Wendy plays an important role in the continued growth of the firm’s real estate, transactional, succession planning, and cross-border business practices.
