AI-Generated “Hallucinations” in Legal Filings Draw Media Attention; C&W Attorney Eric Khodadian Cited in Coverage

A pending California matter involving State Farm and Cummins & White attorney Eric M. Khodadian has drawn media attention over the discovery of AI-generated “hallucinations” in legal filings, with coverage in Law360, CalMatters, the Los Angeles Times and other news outlets.

Law360 and CalMatters highlighted Khodadian’s role as co-counsel for the plaintiff and cited his filing detailing fabricated legal authorities and other discrepancies discovered in pretrial motions filed by State Farm’s counsel.
