Cummins & White Is Hiring: Labor & Employment Attorney
We are seeking a talented Labor & Employment Attorney to join our growing practice in Newport Beach.
As we celebrate our 75th anniversary, we continue to invest in the next generation of attorneys who will help shape the future of our firm. This is an opportunity to join a sophisticated, entrepreneurial practice representing businesses across California and nationwide.
Our Labor & Employment team advises and represents employers across the full spectrum of workplace matters, including advice and counseling, pre-litigation disputes, single-plaintiff litigation, and class and PAGA actions. Matters span harassment, discrimination, retaliation, termination, wage and hour issues, and other employment-related claims in state and federal courts.
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate is a California-licensed attorney with approximately 2–10 years of employment litigation experience and strong analytical, research and writing skills. Candidates should have experience with employment disputes and litigation, including pleadings, discovery, motion practice and deposition preparation. Experience with mediation, arbitration and trial preparation is also valued.
We are looking for someone who is personable, intellectually curious, collaborative and committed to delivering exceptional work for clients.
Why Cummins & White
Our Labor & Employment attorneys represent clients directly rather than serving as insurance-appointed counsel. That means our attorneys have the opportunity to develop meaningful client relationships, dig deeply into sophisticated legal issues and become trusted advisors to the businesses they serve.
Cummins & White offers a collegial environment, sophisticated work, professional development opportunities, competitive compensation and highly incentivized bonus programs.
The position is based in Newport Beach, California, with hybrid opportunities available for more experienced attorneys who meet performance requirements and demonstrate the ability to work independently.
Base Compensation: $165,000–$205,000 annually, depending on experience, plus potential performance and origination bonuses.
