Philip Hummel (Retired) is a former Partner of Cummins & White LLP with more than 35 years of experience advising businesses, property owners, entrepreneurs, and individuals on a broad range of legal matters. His practice included business and civil litigation, corporate and business law, real estate transactions and litigation, construction law, estate planning, and estate litigation.
A longtime resident of the Orange and Villa Park communities, Phil built a distinguished legal career representing clients throughout Southern California. After beginning his career with an Orange County litigation firm, he founded his own law firm in 1994 and successfully led the practice for more than 25 years, earning a reputation for practical counsel, strong client relationships, and community involvement.
Throughout his career, Phil advised clients on complex business disputes, corporate transactions, real estate matters, construction issues, and estate planning strategies. His broad legal background and business-oriented perspective enabled him to provide comprehensive counsel across multiple disciplines while helping clients navigate both personal and commercial legal challenges.
In 2021, Phil joined Cummins & White LLP, bringing decades of experience, leadership, and client service to the firm. While now retired from the active practice of law, he remains an important part of the firm’s history and legacy.
