It is an honor to kick off the newest Blog  penned by the lawyers at Cummins & White.  Joining the Construction and Estate Planning Groups  the Insurance Group will post articles, essays and case studies on matters of insurance law and current events.  We hope to educate, inform and entertain our clients, potential clients, and those who are simply interested in our practice.  And if a particular post piques your interest, don’t hesitate to pick up the phone and speak to its author.  CW lawyers pride themselves on being accessible and responsive.

Industry professionals know that insurance is the glue that binds potential to reality; without insurance against risk, who would invest?  Who would build?  Who would serve?  Who would drive a car?  For that matter, who would manufacture a car, or the fuel that fills it?  And if someone did, without insurance, could anyone afford it?  While an insurance policy isn’t itself a building, project, product, it makes all of these things possible, affordable, and practical.  Thomas Edison may have invented the light bulb, but you can buy a light bulb thanks to those willing to insure the factory, the truck and the store that brings it to market.

If you are an insurance professional, look forward to timely and pertinent updates on this blog.  But no matter your industry, property and liability insurance is probably an integral part of it.  Cummins & White recognizes this.  For more than 60 years, Cummins & White’s insurance practice group has represented its clients in the areas of coverage, “bad faith”, errors and omissions, personal injury, property damage, liability defense, subrogation, reinsurance, administrative and regulatory law.  We have the unique position of not only knowing insurance law, but making it. The firm is a leader in developing and implementing new insurance law, theories and strategies in both property and liability cases.  It is only natural that our practice evolves to this new and exciting venue.
